Carbon cross country was back on the course over the weekend in Spanish Fork at the UIAAA Invitational. The divisions were broken down into Varsity and freshman/ sophomores. Over 30 schools from across the state participated in the event.

The Dinos varsity team finished in 10 out of 29 schools. Evan Criddle was the top finisher for the Dinos ending his day in 48 out of 202 total runners. Spencer Butler (57), Dallin Humes (64), Bradley Sweeney (81), and Michael Webber (83) rounded out the Carbon top five.

For the freshman/sophomore division, the Dinos Matthew Stromness landed in 10 place out of 172 runners. Bracken Hansen (18), Carter Abbott (19), Spencer Pitcher (25), and Tyke Criddle (28) made up the Carbon top five.

On the girl’s side, Carbon only sent a freshman/ sophomore squad. Josie Yates was the top Lady Dino in the race finishing in 2 out of 234 runners. Bretlee Kennedy (10), Kiley Bishoff (33), and Mckenzie Fredrickson (196) all competed for Carbon.

The Dinos will get back to it on Friday, August 30 when they head to Lakeside Park in Orem for the Timpanogos Invitational.
