Emery Spartan cross-country traveled to Spanish Fork for the Utah Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (UIAAA) Invitational. Schools around the state participated in the event, including varsity, junior varsity, and freshman/ sophomore divisions.

In the girl’s varsity division, Gentry Christiansen was the top Lady Spartan in 13 out of 159 runners. Addy Guymon (15), Addie Hurst (35), Alivia Daley (109), and Hannah Farley (145) were the top five for Emery, who ended the day in eleventh place out of 22 teams. Emery also sent one runner in the freshman/ sophomore divisionHallie Frandsen who ended in 134 out of 234 runners.

For the Spartan boy’s varsity Dillan Larsen was the top runner finishing in 43 out of 202 runners. Hayden Christiansen (165), Benjamin Farley (169), Jacob Erickson (170), and Zander Robinson (173) were Emery’s top finishers. The Spartans finished in 25 out of 29 teams.

For the boy’s freshman/ sophomore team, Jade Jensen claimed the top finish for the Spartans with 34. Ty Christiansen (86), Porter Stilson (117), Luke Jensen (154), and James White (156) were the top finishers.

The Spartans will return to the course on Friday at the Timpanogos Invitational in Orem.
