
On Tuesday, Lady Dino soccer traveled to Delta to take on the Rabbits in a Region 12 tilt. With a balanced scoring attack putting up four goals in each half to take the 8-1 win.
Malia Smith kept on her scoring run adding three in the game to keep her in a tie for first in goals scored with fifteen tying her with Manti’s Taylie Mickelsen.
The Lady Dinos came out in the first half putting four goals on the board and Madi Barlow kept the Rabbits off the scoreboard between the pipes, taking the 4-0 lead at halftime.
In the second half, it was all Carbon again as they found the back of the net four more times and almost kept Delta scoreless as the Rabbits snuck one in, but Carbon cruised to the 8-1 win.
Smith also had three assists in the contest, Chrissy Jones added three goals of her own and one assist. Blythe Bradford scored one goal as did Lydia Lancaster who added an assist. Bailey Johnson also collected an assist in the Carbon win.
The Lady Dinos will put their 5-1 record on the line when they welcome the Richfield Wildcats to Price on Thursday. Last season Carbon took wins in both contests.
The game is set to start at 4:00 p.m.
