The Lady Spartan soccer team welcomed in North Sanpete to Castle Dale on Tuesday. Emery soccer has had a rough go this season and that continued against as the Hawks handed the Spartans their sixth loss of the season, 5-1.

Emery couldn’t stop the Hawks attack as North Sanpete came out firing scoring five goals and allowing only one goal from the Lady Spartans.

The loss drops Emery to 0-6 this season. The Lady Spartans have one more contest until the initial RPI rankings are released on Saturday, August 31.

The RPI is a calculation based on wins, opponents’ wins, and other factors that when calculated rank the teams. The number will be updated through the season with the final rankings being made available on October 9, setting the field for the State Championships that start on October 12.

The Lady Spartans welcome the Delta Rabbits (5-4) to Castle Dale on Thursday.
