In the first match of their region schedule, the Lady Dinos fell to North Sanpete. Thursday the Juab Wasps were in Price. Carbon needed four sets to close out Juab 3-1.

With the win, Carbon moves to 4-6 overall and 1-1 in region play. In two weeks the initial RPI will be released to rank the teams in 3A, and they will continue to be updated until the end of the season when the final numbers will be used to set the field for the State Championships.

The two teams came out with the Wasps taking a win in set one, 26-24, and that was the only set Juab would win as Carbon took a win in set two 25-18. Set three was a victory for the Lady Dinos 25- 20, and then once again Carbon earned a 25-16 win handing Juab the 3-1 loss.

The Lady Dinos will take to the court only once next week when they travel to Richfield. Last season Carbon earned wins in both regular season contests and then once again in the playoffs.

Carbon will not play on their home court until September 17, when the Manti Templars come to town.
