The Emery Spartan volleyball squad welcomed the Delta Rabbits to Castle Dale. It was a hard-fought battle taking five sets but the Lady Spartans were handed the loss, 3-2.

The Spartans sit at 6-3 overall and 1-1 in region play.

Set number one went to Emery after going back and forth with Delta 27-25. The Rabbits came back in the second set though to take a 25-21 win and tie up the match at one set a piece.

In the third set, the Lady Spartans earned a victory 25-20, but after that it was all Delta, taking wins 25-18 and then in the fifth and final set 15-11.

Emery only gets back on the court just one time this week, on Thursday when they welcome Manti to the Spartans Center.

Game time is set for 6:30 p.m..
