To say it is with a heavy heart is an understatement. It is with a BROKEN heart that we announce the loss of the best daughter, mother, sister, and aunt; our beloved MiMi.

Michelle was born in Denver, Colorado on March 17, 1968 to Donna and Lanny Wayman. Michelle grew up in East Carbon util the age of 14. When her parents divorced, Mom moved the girls to Phoenix, Arizona.

Michelle worked in the medical field for most of her life in Las Vegas, Texas, and Utah. She also worked in the mine for a short time.

Michelle had three children, six grandchildren, and two fur babies that she loved dearly.

Michelle lived a very private life, but loved those around her deeply. If you knew Michelle, you knew exactly what you signed up for. Michelle was very strong with a sassy mouth; but she was funny and loved a good scare prank. She often trusted and believed in people, even when they didn’t believe in her. Michelle once stated that every mistake, disappointment, betrayal, success, joy, and achievement made her who she was.

Michelle loved plants and gardening. You could often find her at a yard sale hunting for a good bargain. She was most definitely an animal lover, even wanting a pet raccoon and a monkey. She loved her dogs, Maddie and Pepper, with all her heart and soul. Michelle’s bond with her mother, sister, and her stepdad Dennis was unbreakable. She was their everything and they were hers.

Her family is so proud of how independent Michelle had become in the past few years. Her family watched her overcome many trials and tribulations with grace and dignity.

Michelle is preceded in death by her beloved fur baby, Button; grandparents, June Kissell, William Kissell, Thelma Kissell, Margie Wayman, and her uncle, Jimmy Kissell.

Michelle is survived by her parents, Donna (Dennis) Bird and Lanny Wayman; sister, Danna Carrington “Michelle’s personal handyman”; her stepsister, Chastity (Brandon) Weinberg; and half-sister, Nichole (Aaron) Burrell; children, Derek Wayman, Chelsea (Niko) Alvarado, and Quenten (Sara) Gordon; and her two stepsons, Killian and Jayden Gordon; grandchildren, Venicia, Lyric, Analiese (Nonee), Zirius (Bug), Evrrlynn (Four), Oviella (Roni); nephew, Casey Carrington; and nieces, Rebekah and Kaitlyn Weinberg; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and Paula Lindt, who taught her how to shoot a gun and helped and supported Michelle whenever it was needed. Paula was more Michelle’s best friend than just a cousin, and the family deeply appreciates all that she has done for Michelle over the years.

The family will host a Celebration of Michelle’s life on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at the Wellington City Park (50 South 100 East Main St.) at 1:00 p.m.

Arrangements are entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price and Huntington where family and friends are welcome to share memories of Michelle online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
