Danny Joe Brotherson, 71, passed away on September 3, 2024 at his home in Price, Utah. He was born on May 25, 1953 in Merced, California to Kay Brotherson and was adopted by his father, Floyd Brotherson at the age of two. Danny spent his early years in Salt Lake City, Utah, before the family relocated to Kona, Hawaii in the early 1960’s. He graduated from high school in Hawaii and went on to serve as a Security Specialist in the United States Air Force.
After his military service, Danny moved to San Jose, California where he worked as second-in-command at Butler Amusement, known as “The Greatest Show on Earth.” In the early 1980’s he returned to Elmo, Utah to be closer to his family. In 1985, Danny met the love of his life, Cyndi and they were married on March 22, 1986. With their marriage, Danny took on the role of step-father to her four children.
Danny retired from the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) Road Department in 2017. He loved spending time outdoors camping with his family, fishing, riding four-wheelers, watching movies, and time spent on his computer. Most of all, he cherished the moments spent with his grandchildren.
