On Wednesday night the Pinnacle Lady Panthers welcomed the Dugway Mustangs. This was a battle coming down to the fifth set as Pinnacle handed the Mustangs the five-set loss, 3-2.

The Panthers sit at 2-6 overall and 0-6 in region play, holding the No. 12 spot in the Utah High School Activities Association’s RPI rankings of the teams in 1A.

Pinnacle came out taking the wins in the first two sets 25-19 and 25-21, and then it was Dugway’s turn as they grabbed the next two sets 25-12 and 25-18

In the fifth and final set, the Lady Panthers took charge and closed out the Mustangs 15-13.

Heather Kerr collected five digs in the contest, she also added four kills and three service aces. Myleigh Petersen earned five digs, and a pair of service aces, and Orionna Manchester had seven digs, three assists, and a pair of service aces.

Pinnacle will be back on the court Friday when they face Monument Valley (5-3 overall, 1-0 in region play, and No. 4 in the RPI).

Game time is set for 6:15 p.m..
