Just four games are left in the regular season for girl’s soccer, and the Lady Spartans are still searching for their first win. Thursday the Manti Templars were in Castle Dale to face Emery. The Templars are one of the top teams in 3A and played that way taking an 8-0 win, handing Emery their 13th  loss of the season.

Emery sits at 0-13 overall and 0-10 in region play, they also hold the No. 17 spot in the latest RPI. Manti sits at 12-1 overall and 9-1 in Region 12, sitting in the No. 3 spot in the RPI.

Manti came out in the first half finding the back of the net six times to take a 6-0 lead at halftime. In the second half, the Templar’s defense kept the Lady Spartans off the board and added two more goals of their own to take an 8-0 win over Emery.

The Lady Spartans have a pair of games on the road next.

On Tuesday they will be in Mount Pleasant to take on the North Sanpete Hawks (4-8, 3-7, and No. 12 in the RPI). The first time they met in August the Hawks handed Emery a 5-0 loss in Castle Dale.

Then On Thursday, they will travel to Nephi to take on the Juab Wasps (4-9, 3-6, and No. 13 in the RPI). Earlier this season Juab earned a 3-1 win over Emery.
