Carbon Lady Dino soccer welcomed the Delta Rabbits to Price on Tuesday to square up for the second and final time of the regular season. In August, the Dinos traveled to Delta and returned home with the 8-1 win. The game on Tuesday wasn’t quite as high scoring but the Lady Dinos earned the 3-0 win to move to 10-3 overall.

Along with their overall record, Carbon has an 8-3 mark in Region 12 play and sits in the No. 4 spot in the latest RPI.

Carbon came out in the first half finding the back of the net once to take a 1-0 lead at halftime. In the second half, Madi Barlow in goal kept Delta off the scoreboard, and the Lady Dinos added two more goals to hand Delta their ninth loss of the season with the 3-0 shutout.

Malia Smith kept on the scoring barrage, adding two more goals to her season total to 28, leading the state across all classifications. Bailey Johnson had the other goal and collected an assist to bring her assist total to 19 which leads the state. Kenzie Morgan earned one assist as well. Madi Barlow collected four saves in the win and brought her total of shutouts to five for the season.

Carbon will travel to Richfield to take on the Wildcats (5-8, 3-7, No. 11). On August 29, The Lady Dinos welcomed the Wildcats to Price with Carbon taking the 5-1 win.
