The Carbon golf team made the trip to Ferron to take on the Millsite Golf Course, the home course of the Emery Spartans. Millsite is one of the toughest courses in Region 12, and it played like it with Carbon tying Delta for third with both teams shooting a 334.
Richfield again earned the top finish shooting a 305 with Juab taking second with a 311. Carbon and Delta tied for third with 334 with Emery landing in fifth. Pace Mullin of the Richfield Wildcats had the low round of the day with a 72.
The Dinos’ Dayton King carded a 79 for Carbon followed by Rydge Butler and his 82. Levi King (84), and Cash Withers (89) made up the scoring for the Dinos. Paxton Falk (92) Kolten Wilkinson (96), Jackson Bosone (94 and McKennon Stevenson (94) also participated.
Just a couple of matches are left before the end of the regular season. On October 8, Palisade the home course of the Manti Templars will welcome Region 12.
This week the region will converge on the Cove View course home of the Richfield Wildcats.
The season will close out on October 16 & 17 at The Ridge Golf Course for the 3A State Championships.
