The Lady Spartan soccer squad traveled to Nephi on Thursday to face the Juab Wasps. Emery got one goal on the board but it wasn’t enough, and they now have only two games left this season to find their first win as they fell to Juab 2-1.

The Spartans slide to 0-15 overall and 0-12 in region play, they also fell to the No.18 spot in the latest RPI.

The first half was uneventful as both teams played even holding each other out of the back of the net and taking a 0-0 tie to halftime.

In the second half, the Lady Spartans were able to find the back of the net, with Megan Stilson scoring the lone goal for Emery. Juab would put up a pair of goals to earn the 2-1 win.

On Tuesday the Lady Spartans will host the Richfield Wildcats (6-8, 4-7, No. 9), in their final home game of the season. In Richfield earlier this season the Wildcats took a 4-2 win over Emery.

Game time is set for 4:00 p.m..
