The Emery boy’s golf team welcomed Region 12 to their home course on Thursday. Millsite is one of the toughest courses in Region 12, and it played like it with the Spartans earning a fifth-place finish as they shot a 342.
Richfield again earned the top finish shooting a 305 with Juab taking second with a 311. Carbon and Delta tied for third with 334 with Emery landing in fifth. Pace Mullin of the Richfield Wildcats had the low round of the day with a 72.
Champ Justice shot the low round for the Spartans with a 77 followed by Alex Hansen’s 83. Bronx Olsen (90), Dempsey Toomer, and Brendon Behunin shot a 92. Ethan Gilbert (98), Crew Behling (101), and Staton Bingham (114) also competed for the Spartans.
Just a couple of matches are left before the end of the regular season. On October 8, Palisade the home course of the Manti Templars will welcome Region 12.
This week the region will converge on the Cove View course home of the Richfield Wildcats.
The season will close out on October 16 & 17 at The Ridge Golf Course for the 3A State Championships.
