On Thursday, Carbon girl’s volleyball traveled to Nephi to face the Juab Wasps. This was the second time they had met in the regular season with the Lady Dinos taking a win in the last one in Price. This time, Carbon got to business early taking the victory in straight sets.

Carbon moves to 6-11 overall with a 3-6 region mark, holding the No. 15 spot in the latest RPI.

Carbon was ready for the Wasps and hit the ground running taking a win in the first set 25-20.  The second set also went to the Lady Dinos by the same 25-20 score.

The third and what would turn out to be the final set was a 25-15 win for Carbon, taking the 3-0 win over Juab.

Jacie Jensen collected 21 assists for the Dinos also adding four service aces. Madi Ferguson had 13 digs, Brailee Peterson had eight digs with seven kills and Bella Simkins added seven kills in the Carbon win.

Up next for the Lady Dinos is a home match with the Richfield Wildcats (8-10, 5-4, No. 11). In their first meeting this season the Dinos fell on the road 3-1.

Game time is set for 6:30 p.m..
