The Region 12 golf regular season ended on Tuesday at the Palisade Golf Course in Sterling, home of the Manti Templars. Dayton King led the Dinos to a fourth-place finish in the final match before the State Championships next week.

Richfield again earned a first-place finish with a 313, making it their eighth top finish out of nine matches this season. Juab finished two strokes behind in second with 315. Delta (324), Carbon (328), and Emery (342) rounded out the top five. Juab’s Ty Bender and Richfield’s Pace Mullen had the low round with a 75.

The Wildcats also earned the top finish for the season in Region 12 with a combined score of 2709. Juab, Carbon, Delta, and Emery made up the top five (See scores below). In individual performances over the season Dayton King finished in fifth overall with a score of 525, and Rydge Butler was in sixth with a score of 530.

Behind Dayton King’s 78, Butler added an 81. McKennon Stevenson shot an 84, and Levi King an 85, to round out the scoring four for the Dinos. Cash Withers (89), Jackson Bosone (93), Paxton Falk (99), and Kolten Wilkinson (106) completed the rest of Carbon’s roster.

Next week, the season will come to a close after two days of competition at The Ridge Golf Course. Earlier in the season Carbon and the rest of the region took on the course with the Dinos carding a 314.

The State Championships take place on October 16 & 17.
