The Spartans golf squad traveled to Sterling to take on the Palisade Golf Course, home of the Manti Templars. This was the final match on the region portion of the schedule and Champ Justice and his 81 helped Emery secure fifth place in the match.

Richfield once again earned a first-place finish with a 313, making it their eighth top finish out of nine matches this season. Juab finished two strokes behind in second with 315. Delta (324), Carbon (328), and Emery (342) rounded out the top five. Juab’s Ty Bender and Richfield’s Pace Mullen had the low round with a 75.

The Wildcats also earned the top finish for the season in Region 12 with a total combined score of 2709. Juab, Carbon, Delta, and Emery made up the top five (See scores below).

Behind Justice, Dempsey Toomer shot an 84, Alex Hansen carded an 86, and Brodee Norton added a 91 to round out the Spartan’s top four. Bronx Olsen (99), Crew Behling (101), Ethan Gilbert (101), and Brendon Behunin (113) also competed for Emery.

Next week, the season will come to a close after two days of competition at The Ridge Golf Course. Earlier in the season Emery and the rest of the region took on the course with the Spartans carding a 339.

The State Championships take place on October 16 & 17.
