Lady Dino volleyball was back on the court Tuesday night as they welcomed in the No. 1 team in 3A, Canyon View. The Falcons are unbeaten in Region 12 play and have a 23-2 mark overall. The Dinos earned a win in the third set but it was all Canyon View taking the 3-1 win.

Carbon now dips to 6-4 overall and carries a 3-9 mark in the region, they also hold the No. 13 spot in the latest RPI.

Canyon View jumped out in the first set to take a 25-14 win. The Falcons came out once more in the second set to get a 25-13 win and took a 2-0 lead in the match.

In set three, the Lady Dinos battled with the Falcons pushing them to the brink to earn a 29-27 win to get on the board at 2-1, but Canyon View overpowered Carbon to get the 25-12 win in the fourth set and take the 3-1 match win.

Just a handful of games remain in the regular season schedule both on the road. Next week on October 15 they travel to face the Manti Templars, (6-17, 4-8, No. 15), the following week they travel to Castle Dale to face the Lady Spartans (12-8, 7-5 and No. 7).

Carbon heads south this weekend to participate in the Sevier Valley Tournament on the campus of Snow College in Richfield.

Up first for the Dinos this weekend is a meeting with South Sevier. The Rams are 15-4 overall with a 6-3 region mark, they also hold the No. 4 spot in the RPI, that game is scheduled for Friday night.
