The cross-country season took the Spartans to Lakeside Park in Orem Tuesday, for the 3A-6A Divisionals. The Lady Spartans who have really come on of late, finished the day in the top spot in their section. The boy’s squad ended in fifth.
Emery took the first on the girl’s side followed by Judge Memorial. Richfield, Ogden, and Grantsville made up the top five. North Sanpete and Juan Diego Catholic made up the remainder of the field.
Gentry Christiansen earned first place overall followed by fellow teammates Addy Guymon, and Addie Hurst in second and third. Alivia Daley and Hadley Meccariello made up the Emery top five. Kallee Lake (38), and Hannah Farley (45) competed for Emery at the event as well.
Grantsville earned the top spot on the boy’s side followed by Carbon. Manti, Union, and Emery made up the top five. Judge Memorial, Juan Diego Catholic, and Delta were also in the section.
Dillian Larsen was the top finisher for Emery coming in at 23, Zander Robinson crossed the finish in 28. Jacob Erickson landed in the 30th spot, Hayden Christiansen was in 38th and Benjamin Farley in 47th made up the top five runners for Emery. Jamison Christiansen (47), and Landon Braun (63) also ran for the Spartans.
Up next on the schedule for cross-country is the State Championships on October 29 at the Rose Park Complex.
