Tuesday night the Emery Spartans made the lengthy trip to Cedar City to face the No.1 ranked Canyon View Falcons. Canyon View entered the contest a perfect 12-0 in the region and stayed that way with a straight-set win over Emery 3-0.

Canyon View is the No. 1 team in all 3A and played every bit of that ranking. In the first set, the Falcons took the Lady Spartans to task with a 25-10 win. Emery would try to regroup for set number two but Canyon View would once again earn the win by the same score as set one 25-10.

In the third set, the Falcons came out taking a 25-13 win and sweeping the Lady Spartans 3-0.

Emery falls to 15-11 overall and 7-6  in Region 12 play. They sit in the No. 8 spot in the latest RPI.

There is only one game left in the regular season. On Tuesday the Spartans will head to Price to face the Carbon Lady Dinos. Carbon will enter the contest at 8-18 overall and 3-10 in the region.  They sit at No. 14 in the RPI.

The last time these two met up was on September 19 a the Spartan Center, with the Lady Spartans earning the 3-1 win.

Gametime is set for 6:30 in the gym at Carbon High School.
