Richard Eugene Milano, passed away peacefully October 27, 2024, at the age of 68 in his home on First Avenue.

He was born August 9, 1956, in Price, Utah to Emroy Charles and Ramona May Milano.  Rick married Lou Ann Larson and was blessed with two wonderful children but unfortunately years later Rick and Lou Ann would part ways.  Rick later met Paula Whitaker October 9, 1992 and they married shortly after on May 22, 1993 in Elko, Nevada where he became a father again to her kids and treated them like they were his own.  He loved and cared for Paula until her passing.

Rick had been a longtime resident of Helper with a minor stint of his life in Provo, Utah.  Rick hired out on the Utah Railway right out of high school, where he worked and supported his family for 38 years. Rick ended his career being known as the best locomotive engineer with Utah Railway.  While on the railroad he touched many lives and made several friends which until the day of his passing he considered family.  Rick was forced to retire due to illness and every day since, he would emphasize how much he had missed the railroad.  Rick loved to work on cars, woodwork, hunt, camp, continuously fishing for the elusive Mac at Flaming Gorge, restoring guns, and was big into keeping his yard to pristine levels.

Rick was a neighborhood favorite where everyone knew him.  Rick was always up for pranks with water balloons, garden hose and nerf gun fights with his kids along with neighborhood kids and thoroughly enjoyed having a good time.  Rick was a very generous person and was always helping people whether it was advice or physical work.  Rick would always be there for anyone no matter what the situation.  He loved spending time with his family, talking about past stories of his life, and telling jokes, current and past.

Rick is survived by his children, Kim (Colton) Wilcox, Price UT, Brett (Ashley) Milano, West Jordan UT, Natalie Fratto, Salt Lake City, UT, Chris Funk, Helper UT; son-in-law, Riche Fratto, Salt Lake City, Utah; sisters, Judi Ard, Boise, ID, Geri Thornton, Hurricane, UT, Kathy Martin, Elk Ridge, UT; niece, Suzie (Shane) Spensko Provo UT; nephew, Paul Kokal, Price UT; and many loving nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by parents, Emroy Charles and Ramona May Milano; wife, Paula Milano; son, Steven Funk; in-laws, Albert and Shirley Whitaker; brothers-in-law, Dan Martin, Roger Ard, Larry Thornton; and nephew, Tony Kokal.

A celebration of his life will be held at Elks Lodge located at 57 West Main in Price Utah, Friday November 22, 2024, from noon-3:00 p.m.
