On the evening of Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 10:19 p.m., authorities from the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to Carbonville to an address where they were alerted that shots had been fired. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a male who had received a gunshot wound to the head.

With this discovery, deputies engaged in lifesaving rescue efforts to no avail, with the subject being pronounced dead at the scene. Another subject was found at the scene with a non-life-threatening injury. 

All individuals at the scene were detained by CCSO officials while an investigation into the incident takes place. A press release from the Sheriff’s Office states,” The identities of all persons involved in the incident have been determined, and there is no danger to the public.” The release also shared that all individuals that were present at the scene are cooperating with the investigation.

With the investigation ongoing, the names of those involved have not been released. Castle Country Radio will provide updates as they become available.
