The Deseret News released their All-State list for the 2024 girl’s soccer and the Carbon Lady Dinos had four players earn honors. The Deseret News all-state teams are based on the coach’s votes from a list of nominated players from each team. Junior defender Emma Bowman, freshman forward Malia Smith, junior midfielder Bailey Johnson, and sophomore midfielder Chrissy Jones all received nods.

This marks two years in a row that Bowman has earned the honor, this season with a first-team nod and last year landing on the second-team list. Bowman had an outstanding season from the defender position scoring three goals in five shots on goal plus one assist for her junior campaign.

A pair of Lady Dino underclassmen landed on the second team list with Smith and Johnson each getting recognition.  Smith earned her nod in her first season scoring 32 goals and collecting 15 assists with 79 points which was enough to get her in the top five for total points and top 10 in goals scored. Johnson received her first nod in her junior season scoring 17 goals and leading the state with 23 assists for a total of 57 points.

Sophomore Chrissy Jones landed on the honorable mention list with 10 goals and nine assists totaling 29 points.

The Lady Dinos ended the season with a 12-6 overall mark going 9-5 in Region 12 play and earned the No. 5 spot in the RPI. They lost their final match to eventual State Champion, the Morgan Trojans in the quarterfinals.
