The servant of God, Theodosia Tracee Kontgas, age 66, fell asleep in to the arms of the Lord on November 25, 2024 in Texas as a result of complications from a broken hip.

She was born October 12, 1958, in Price, Utah, the youngest child to Tony and Barbara (Bavelas) Kontgas and raised in Price. Survived by siblings, Angelo, Ogden, Utah; V. Rev, Father Luke George, Sam and Deano (Shelly), Price; Diane, Las Vegas, NV; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents and sister, Aspasia “Aspy” Patsy Kontgas.

Tracee graduated from Carbon High School in Price, Utah in 1976. Following graduation, she studied and became a dental hygienist and worked for a period of time as one.  Later she worked in various positions in Nevada and Arizona.  Finally, Tracee settled in Frisco, Texas.  She has worked for Conifer Health Solutions auditing medical billings for almost 20 years.  Tracee made many friends in and out of her work environments.  Those friends shared of their time and abilities in assisting her during various medical issues. She loved and cherished those friends, and they all surrounded her with love and compassion. Tracee will be missed by many of those friends who considered her to be like a sister.  She especially enjoyed telling them stories about her travels, which included road trips to obscure areas to explore and to dine on local cuisine.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff of T. Boone Pickens Hospice Center in the Dallas, Texas for their comfort and skilled care to our sister.

Funeral services are TENTATIVELY SCHEDULED FOR Thursday, December 5, 2024, 11:00 am, Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 61 South 200 East, Price, Utah.  Trisagion service, Wednesday, December 4, 2024, 7:00 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home, 233 East Main, Price. The family will receive friends at Mitchell Funeral Home Wednesday and Thursday one hour prior to services.  Interment will follow in the Price City Cemetery.

Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price and Huntington where friends and family are always welcome daily and may share memories of Tracee online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
