The Green River Pirates entered their contest with the Tabiona Tigers holding a 2-1 record. The Tigers are always a tough out on the basketball court and the Pirates were able to hang with them through three quarters but Tabiona came out in the fourth putting up 28 and taking the 73-54 win.

Both teams came out and played it close in the first quarter with the Pirates holding the one-point advantage 14-13. The second quarter was a repeat of the first with the roles switched as it was Tabiona who would take the one-point advantage 11-10 and tying up the score 24-24 as the two teams headed into the locker rooms at half time.

In the second half, the switch in both team’s offenses was flipped as each team would go on a run with the Tigers putting up 22 and the Pirates scoring 20 in the third with Tabiona taking a two-point lead going into the fourth with the score 46-44. Tabiona found another gear in the final eight minutes finding the basket for 28 points in the quarter and then turning around defensively and holding the Pirates to just 10 as they would close out the contest 74-54.
