Tyler D. Archuleta, age 52, passed away December 7, 2024 after a five-year battle with cancer.
He was born October 9, 1972 in Murray, Utah to Alfonso Abelio Archuleta, Jr. and Judith Ann Garcia. Tyler married Stacie James on February 15, 1992 in Price, Utah; they later divorced and remained the best of friends.
Tyler was a man of many traits, anything he put his mind to or wanted to learn he did with no hesitation, and was great at everything he did. He was passionate about the work he did, from running his own companies, operating cranes, and driving semi-trucks with his loyal companion, Buddy.
Tyler was a family man who had a great love for his sons, mother, father, and siblings. He was a selfless man who would do anything for anyone, no questions asked. Tyler touched the hearts of friends and strangers alike, and made lifelong friendships everywhere he went. You would often find him with his mom (Judy) and father (Roy) feeling the room with his contagious laughter, watching movies, making jokes and eating endless amounts of food that he loved.
Tyler was a dreamer who chased his dreams and accomplished many. He had many talents like building houses, running heavy machinery, playing the drums and so much more. His favorite artist, Ozzy Osbourne, led him to create a band and learn how to play the drums; he also had an amazing voice.
Tyler was an adventurous man who could always be found boating, camping and traveling. He also had a love for car shows and riding dirt bikes.
Although it feels like he has left us too soon, we know he is still adventuring and learning. It is okay to miss Tyler, for he was a great son, father, uncle, and friend, but he would not want anyone to be sad, for he was a child of God and knew that his family who passed before him would be waiting to greet him alongside our loving Heavenly Father.
Tyler is survived by his son, Austin (Cheyenne) Archuleta, Helper; Stacie James, Price; son, DuRyan James, Price; grandson, Xander; mother, Judy (Roy) Payton, Price; siblings, Jason Jensen, Salt Lake City, Emil (Crissy) Sunter, Helper, Allison Archuleta, Wellington, Jamie (Brandon) Sicilia, Price, Katie (David) Gurule, Price, Danton (Brooke) Payton, Saratoga Springs, Taylor Payton, Salt Lake City; his faithful companion, “Buddy;” many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by his father, Alfonso Archuleta; and his brother, Zachery Payton.
