Continuing its tradition of giving back to the community, Eastern Utah Community Credit Union is preparing to host their Member Appreciation Movie Night, which will allow EUCCU members to enjoy a private screening of the latest Disney film ‘Mufasa’ on Friday, Dec. 20 at the King Koal Theatre. To talk about the importance of the event and giving back to members, Ted Thayne from EUCCU stopped by the KOAL newsroom to give an in-depth look at the event.

“We appreciate our members. We appreciate everybody in this community,” explained Thayne, opening our interview.” We’re the only locally-owned credit union in town, and we like to give back. So we do events throughout the year. We do the Easter hunt, we do the pumpkin festival, we do the pool party, and this time of year, we do the member movie and help out with the Angel Tree.”

Tickets to the movie cost only $3, and are available at the Price EUCCU Branch at 675 East 100 North and the Castle Dale Branch at 125 East Main Street in their respective cities. The money raised from these tickets will go to the Angel Tree, which was named December’s Charity of the Month by Castle Country Radio,” The Angel Tree is a great program. “We live in a great community, and we wouldn’t be able to do anything without this community. The angel tree is something that every year we work on and we have a great turnout for it. It’s just an opportunity this time of year to give back to our community. We enjoy raising money for that, and we appreciate everybody that helps us out with it.”

In closing, Thayne stated,” As I said, come get a ticket, come support the Angel Tree, go watch a movie while you’re doing it, get a little reward out of it, and just say thank you to everybody out there.”

The EUCCU Member Appreciation Movie Night will take place on Friday, Dec. 20 at the King Koal Theatre, starting at 4 p.m. Tickets can be purchased for $3 at both the Price and Castle Dale branches.
