The Carbon Dinos played host to the Dave Smith Memorial Duals Friday and Saturday, welcoming six schools and a total of 10 teams for the two-day competition.

Monticello claimed the top spot at the two-day meet, topping second-place Maple Mountain. San Juan, Carbon, and Emery rounded out the top five. Juan Diego placed sixth, followed by Carbon’s second team in seventh. The Lost Boyz, a team made up of wrestlers from each competing school, Dolores, and American Leadership rounded out the field of 10.

Jantz Greenhalgh, Gage Lefler, and Riker Ohearon finished as the top wrestlers for Carbon, each finishing unbeaten. Greenhalgh competed at both 106 and 113, finishing a combined 8-0. Lefler wrestled at 120 pounds, finishing 9-0. Ohearon also closed out the weekend at a perfect 9-0 in the 138-pound weight class.

With the busy weekend complete, the Dinos will prepare for a road trip to Kamas for a dual with South Summit on Tuesday. The team will then travel to the Christmas Clash on Dec. 20 and 21 at Salt Lake Academy before heading into the Christmas break.
