The Carbon Dinos welcomed the Emery Spartans to the Desert Wave Pool for a head-to-head competition Tuesday afternoon in Price.
Competing in 22 events, Emery earned wins on both the boys’ and girls’ sides of the pool. The Lady Spartans edged out Carbon for a 144-139 victory after 11 events. The boys gathered 168 points compared to Carbon’s 131.
With Christmas break rapidly approaching, the Emery swim team will continue the season on Wednesday afternoon with a road dual against the Richfield Wildcats. That will mark the final competition of the 2024 calendar year as the next meet will take place at home on January 7.
Carbon will compete in one more meet this week, returning to the pool on Friday with a road trip to Gunnison. The Dinos will then take the rest of the month off, returning on Jan. 8 against the Union Cougars.
