The Emery Spartans kicked off a busy week on the wrestling mat with a trip to Cedar City to meet the Canyon View Falcons on Tuesday night.

Competing in 13 of the 14 weights at the varsity level, the Spartans finished the dual winless, falling 78-0. Canyon View dominated the meet by securing pins in nine of the matches.

Tuesday marks the first of four competition days this week before Christmas break. The Spartans will have an opportunity to get back on track Wednesday night with a trip to Maple Mountain.

Following Wednesday’s dual, the team will travel to Salt Lake City for the Christmas Clash on Friday and Saturday.
