The Carbon Lady Dinos remain in search of their first Region 12 win after falling to the Manti Templars 51-32 at home Thursday night.
Points came at a premium for the Lady Dinos throughout the first half. Held to just four points in the opening quarter, Carbon entered the second trailing 11-4. Manti continued to pressure Carbon, extending their lead to 27-11 entering the break.
Carbon made vast improvements over the final 16 minutes, playing a nearly even second half. The deficit was too much to overcome in the 19-point setback.

The biggest discrepancy came from the perimeter as Manti hit five three-point jumpers, compared to just two for Carbon.
June Olsen poured in a game-high 22 points to help Manti improve to 4-6 overall on the season and 1-3 in region play. Cadee Alder also hit double-figures as she finished with 11 points.
Thursday’s loss moves Carbon to 2-7 overall and 0-3 in Region 12 play. The team will return to the court on Friday against South Sevier at the 2A/3A Preview. The weekend will come to a close on Saturday against Kanab, sending Carbon into the Christmas break.
