Lezlie Lynn Johnson passed away December 26, 2024 at the age of 58. She was born in Salt Lake City on September 15, 1966 to Gary Michael Johnson and Dorothy June Oliver–Johnson.
She is the youngest of four siblings: Cristy, Stacey, and Christian. Lezlie Lynn Johnson is the mother of three children: Christopher Michael Allred, Brittany Lynn Weber-Arriola, and Jacob John Allred, mother-in-law to Geri Creviston and Johnathan Arriola, and the proud grandma of four amazing grandkids: Patrick Roy Arriola, Edmund Anthony Arriola, Sophia Lynn Arriola, and Novali June Allred.
Lezlie Johnson was a strong and independent woman. Whether it was working on her house, being involved in community groups, or her job; Mom would throw herself into things wholeheartedly.
She worked for the Price City Library, and in our opinion, it was the most enjoyable and rewarding job she had. The ladies she worked with loved her. They would talk so highly of her every time we came in. Our mom was in charge of library displays, community events, and the one thing we think she loved the most, story time.
Lezlie was, for a time, also in charge of a local jeeping group called “The King Crawlers”. Our mom has always been well known for her love of jeeping. In the “King Crawlers”, she faced a lot of her fears and drove trails like Diffhanger, Waterfall, and her favorite trail in Moab called Fins & Things; afterwards, she always liked to stop for a hamburger at Milts.
Mom loved working on her house and yard. From putting in drywall to building wood fencing, painting, and yardscaping. Mom was a great example of, “Women can do anything”; something that many of her nieces would agree with.
Music was also a big part of her life. She was amazing at always learning something new and playing the guitar was no exception. Our mom was the coolest ever playing in her band “Hydrus”. Her daughter Brittany was so grateful to have her mom play at her wedding. Mom looked so happy while playing “Squeez Box” by The Who and “Simple Man” by Lynyrd Skynyrd. Two songs that still remind us of her.
Lezlie, like her parents before her, loved learning about her family history. It was very important to her to learn about her roots. She kept everything our Nana and Papa had researched and added quite a bit of her own discoveries that were later bound and distributed among all her siblings. Her own memories became very important as well. She was crazy about taking pictures. She had a trunk full of her own family photo albums, scrapbooks, and who knows how many memories still stored on her computer. Mom had binders full of our family’s genealogy and stories that told the amazing lives of our ancestors. Mom was dedicated to keeping her own family’s memories, making each of her children scrapbooks of them as they grew.
Lezlie is survived by her two sons, Christopher (Geri) Allred and Jacob Allred; daughter, Brittany (Johnathan) Arriola; her four grandchildren, sisters, Cristy Johnson and Stacey Barber; and brother, Christian Johnson.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Gary and Dorothy.
