Carbon sent 11 Lady Dino wrestlers to the Cougar Mat Classic at Union High School over the weekend in Roosevelt, all 11 would earn a top-ten finish for the weekend.
Chloe Parker and Rickelle Collins were the top finishers for the Lady Dinos Parker claimed second place in the 120-pound weight class closing out the weekend 4-2 taking a loss in the first-place match against Preslee Thacker of Altamont. Collins also finished in second place at 170 pounds closing out the weekend 5-1, dropping the first-place match by decision to Boydee Gravatt of Union.
Brookleigh Unsworth was one of a pair of Lady Dinos finishing in fourth. Unsworth went 3-2 at 130 pounds falling to Uintah’s Tanzie World by pin. Lily Provost would also claim a fourth-place finish at 235 pounds going 4-3 dropping her match to Jayci Wood of Union by pin.
Aliazah Trostle finished in fifth at 155 pounds earning a 4-2 record, defeating Dakoda Keele of Duchesne by pin.
Lillia Sanchez placed sixth at 100 pounds as did Adrianne Lee at 140. Sabrina Sharp took sixth at 125 pounds, and Sloan McCourt finished seventh at 130 pounds. Yo’sea Romo at 135 and Isabella Galarza at 170 both earned eighth-place finishes as well.
On Wednesday the Lady Dinos travel to Grantsville to take on the Cowboys.
