On Tuesday, the Emery Swim team jumped back in the water when they welcomed Manti and Uintah to the Emery County Aquatic Center. The Lady Spartans collected 512 points to propel them to first place. The Spartan boy’s scored 471 landing them in second place.

Uintah took first place in the boy’s division with 542 points with Emery landing in second. Manti scored 176.

Emery would earn a first-place finish and a pair of second-place finishes in their three relays. The Emery team of  Thomas Black, Trek Petersen, Parker Jensen, and Adam Olsen swam to a first-place finish in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:52.46, a full seven seconds ahead of Uintah. In the 200 free Jensen, Petersen, Olsen, and Jamison Christiansen earned a second-place finish, and Tyler Daley, Jacob Morris, Reve Mason, and Black took second in the 400 relay.

Jensen earned a pair of top finishes in the 50 free with a time of 23.66 and then in the 500 free with his time of 5:50.19. Black claimed a first-place finish in the 200 free turning in 2:08.24, he also finished in second in the 100-yard breaststroke. Olsen swam his way to a first-place finish in the 100 free turning in his time of 54.11, he finished second in the 50 free.

Petersen had a second-place finish in the 100 fly and a fifth place in the 50 free. Christiansen finished third in the 100 backstroke and fourth in the 200 free. Morris took third in the 100-yard breaststroke, with Mason coming in fourth. and Jacob Erickson finished fifth in the 200 IM.

The Emery Lady Spartans earned first place followed by Uintah with 445 points and Manti with 173.

In relays, the Lady Spartans grabbed a pair of first-place finishes and one second-place.

In the 200 medley relay Illyria Mason, Brooklyn O’Neil, Emma Grimm, and Jessie Childs turned in a time of 2:15.93, and then again in the 200 free medley the team of Mason, Childs, O’Neil, and Hallie Frandsen cross the finish with a time of 1:44.82. Grimm, Frandsen, Hadley Meccariello, and Annie Johansen took second in the 400 relay.

Childs earned a first-place finish in the 50 free turning in a time of 28.71, she also earned a second-place finish in the 100 free. Frandsen took first in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:26.51 and a third-place finish in the 100-free. Johansen earned a first-place finish in the 500 free with a time of 6:52.55 and a third place in the 200 free. Mason finished with a time of 1:13.36 to take first place in the 100-yard backstroke and second in the 200 free, and O’Neil took first in the 200 IM in a time of 2:47.58.

Grimm claimed a pair of second-place finishes in the 50-free and the 100-fly, and Lacy Winn finished in third in the breaststroke.

Sydni Lake finished the 100-yard backstroke in fourth place. Meccariello took fourth in the 50 free and fifth in the 100 backstroke. Ashley Mesler went fourth in the 200 free and fifth in the 100 free, Kate Bell finished fourth in the 500 free and fifth in the 200 free, Morgan Mills went fifth in the breaststroke, and Lily White finished fifth in the 200 IM. Mary Horrocks earned fifth in the 50 free.

The Spartans will get back at it on Friday when they travel to Moab for a meet with Grand.
