The Carbon Dino boys wrestling squad traveled to Vernal for the Tournament of Champions. Thanks to top finishes from Jantz Greenhalgh, Ashdyn Densley, Jorge Munoz, Riker O’Hearon, and Jack Burdick the Dinos were able to secure a ninth-place finish out of 32 teams.

Greenhalgh took a first-place finish at 98 pounds going a perfect 7-0 and earning the top spot with a win in the first-place match over Gavin Decol of Uintah by pin.

O’Hearon closed out the weekend going 5-1 and earning a win in the third-place match over Cole Good of Eagle Valley by a 7-5 decision.

At 106, Densley who went 4-2 navigated his way through the weight class but fell in the third-place match to Joshua Garcia of Uintah. Munoz finished the weekend at 5-2 but dropped his third-place match to Levi Scott of Altamont to finish in fourth. Jack Burdick was also at 138 pounds claimed a fifth-place finish with his win over Carston Bartlett of Rawlins.

The boys get back on the mat Tuesday when they travel to North Sevier.
