The Lady Dinos won back-to-back games for the first time on Tuesday when the North Sanpete Hawks came to town. Carbon used a balanced attack earning the 55-48 win in front of the home crowd.

Carbon moved to 4-12 and 2-5 in region play, they also sit at the No. 14 in the most recent RPI, as they head into the second half of conference play.

The teams were evenly matched in the first quarter which was very fast-paced as both teams combined for almost 40 points with North Sanpete taking the slight lead 19-18. Things would slow down considerably in the second quarter as if each team gave the other their best shot in the first as the two teams would go to the locker room at halftime tied, 28-28.

In the third, Carbon came out to put some distance between them and the Hawks feeling that they had them figured out. The Lady Dinos added 14 holding North Sanpete to four to take a 42-32 lead into the final quarter. Carbon slowed things down, perhaps a bit too much as the Hawks outscored Carbon 16-13, but the Dinos held on for the 55-48.

Jacie Jensen scored 11 snatching 6 steals and 5 assists. Bailey Curtis also scored 11 with six rebounds and three steals and Blythe Bradford had 10 points and 10 rebounds in the win.

Carbon gets back on the court Thursday when they will welcome Juab to the gym in Price.

Game time is set for 7:00 p.m..
