Our loving mother, Grammy, aunt, and friend, Ruth Ann Stone Prichard, age 102, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2025.

Ruth was born on October 21, 1922, in a tent just outside Peerless, Utah, to David and Agnes Shaw Stone. She was raised with her five siblings in Latuda, Utah. She married Pete Bergera on January 15, 1944. Pete passed away on September 15, 1944. She later found the love of her life and married Bert L. Prichard on October 13, 1945. Together they raised three loving children, Norm, Ruth Ann and Barbara.

Ruth’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. She was very proud of and loved each one of them. There wasn’t an event or sporting event that Ruth wasn’t there to support her children and grandchildren. She was also an avid Jazz fan and watched religiously.

Ruth was a member of the Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church, and was a lifelong resident of Carbon County.

Mom always had a twinkle in her eye when she smiled, casting warmth over everyone. We are all so lucky to have known her and felt her love in our lives.

Ruth is survived by her two daughters, Ruth Ann (Paul) Leturgez and Barbara Prichard (Steve Murdock), and her special daughter-in-law, Debbie Prichard (Greg Falk); grandchildren, Paulie (Cory) Vogrinec; Annette (Bobby) Etzel; Mark (Carla) Metelko; Alisha (Chayse) Hansen; Mike (Melissa) Prichard and Moira (Jared) Madrid; great-grandchildren, Michaela (David), Robbi (Jessica), Melissa (Robby), Kirsten, Graycie (Skyler), Mikey (Kayleanna), Cole, Maizen, Miley, Caleigh, Canon, Mattie, Jack, Maxx, and Joey; great-great-grandchildren, Dax and Ruth; along with many nieces and nephews who all held a special place in her heart.

Ruth was welcomed home by her husband, Bert; son, Norm; parents, and siblings, Harry (Jackie) Stone, Jack (Margaret) Stone, Janet (Bob) Shiner, Jean (Joe) Maynarich, and Donna (Ron) Safely

The family would like to thank Symbii, especially Tiana, for her special care of Ruth. The family would also like to extend their gratitude to the entire staff at the Heirloom Inn. Their warmth and attention to making her comfortable were appreciated by the entire family. A special thank you to Robin Frisbie, who went above and beyond with her care for our dear mom and Grammy. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Carol Henrie for her love and dedication in giving her communion and friendship each week.
