The Lady Dinos were back on the road Tuesday in Delta to face the Rabbits. Carbon was up by three heading into the fourth quarter, but both teams played even, allowing the Dinos to earn the 50-47 win.

This was Carbon’s first road game since January 7, when they traveled to Castle Dale to face the Spartans. Since then, the Lady Dinos have won three of their last four contests moving to 5-13 and the No. 14 spot in the latest RPI with just five games left in the regular season.

The quarters in the first half were played even with the Lady Dinos outscoring the Rabbits 15-12 in the first and then the Rabbits came back in the second quarter and outscored Carbon 15-12, so they headed to the locker room tied at 27-27 at halftime.

Moving into the third, Carbon created just enough offense and defensively held Delta to eight points, while the Lady Dinos scored 11 to maintain a slim 38-35 lead going into the final eight minutes. In the fourth, each team came out with different mindsets, for Carbon hold the lead and get out of there with a win, for Delta do enough to catch the Lady Dinos and take the lead to gather a win in front of their home crowd. The will of Carbon was greater as they held their three-point lead and earned the 50-47 win moving them to 5-13 on the season.

Jacie Jensen had another big game for Carbon putting up 17. Bailey Curtis added 11 and Sage Vea and Maddi Ferguson each scored six in the win.

The Lady Dinos get back on the court and back on the road Thursday evening went they will travel to Richfield to face the Wildcats. Richfield enters the contest at 10-9 overall and is holding the No. 6 spot in the latest RPI.

This is the second time these teams have met up this season. Back on December 17, the Wildcats traveled to Price and handed the Lady Dinos a 42-32 loss.
