Lady Dino basketball was on the road on Thursday in Richfield to face the Wildcats. Coming off a win at Delta on Tuesday, Carbon was looking to build on that as they make their way to the end of the regular season. Richfield and Carbon played even throughout until the fourth when the Wildcats pulled away taking the 48-32 win.

There are just four games left in the regular season for the Dinos who sit at 5-14 overall and 3-7 in Region 12 play, they also sit at No.14 in the latest RPI rankings.

Carbon had trouble finding their offense in the opening quarter as they were only able to put three points on the board while Richfield scored seven taking the slight edge. Moving into the second both teams turned up their offensive intensity as the Wildcats seemed to hit every shot they put up scoring 17 in the period, and Carbon was able to put up 13 to go into the locker room at halftime 24-16.

After the half, the third quarter was once again back to the pace of the first as Carbon was able to keep within striking distance of the Wildcats and were ready to make their move in the fourth with the score 35-25. The final quarter belonged to Richfield as they would once again open up the offense finding another 13 points and defensively holding the Lady Dinos to seven with Richfield taking the 48-32 win.

Jacie Jensen led Carbon with 12 in the contest. Rylee Butler had six and Bailey Curtis scored five in the loss.

On Tuesday it will be back on the road for Carbon as they will travel to Manti to face the Templars (8-10 overall, 4-6 in Region 12 and No.10).

These two met up back in December with the Templars taking a 51-32 win.
