PRICE, Utah – The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Green River District is pleased to announce Nick LaFazio as the new Field Manager for the Price Field Office. LaFazio officially assumed his role on January 12, 2025.

As Field Manager, LaFazio will oversee the management and stewardship of public lands within the Price Field Office, collaborating with a dedicated team to uphold the BLM’s multiple-use mission in Utah.

“We are excited to welcome Nick to the Green River District and the Price Field Office,” said Green River District Manager Elijah Waters. “His extensive background in law enforcement, investigative expertise, and leadership experience will be a tremendous asset to our team and the communities we serve.”

LaFazio is an Army veteran with a distinguished career in law enforcement. He began his career in 1997 as a California Deputy Sheriff and Police Sergeant. In 2006, he joined the BLM in El Centro, California, as the agency’s first certified Field Training Officer. His BLM career includes a promotion to Special Agent in Casper, Wyoming, where he worked with the Special Investigation Group (SIG) on multi-state oil and gas investigations. In 2011, LaFazio joined the Department of the Interior’s Office of Inspector General (DOI OIG) as a Special Agent in Denver, Colorado, where he investigated reports of fraud, waste, and abuse.

To introduce LaFazio and provide an opportunity to engage with the community, the Price Field Office will host an open house and informal meet-and-greet on Feb. 5, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The address of the BLM Price Field Office is 125 S 600 W, Price, UT 84501.  This event will allow the public to learn more about LaFazio’s leadership vision and BLM initiatives in the region.
