Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and long-time friend, Diane Olson, age 88, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 26, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born January 25, 1937 in Mount Pleasant, Utah to John and Phyllis Nielson Gardner. She married the love of her life, J.R. “Bob” Olson, on January 9, 1959 in Elko, Nevada.
Diane was a long-time resident of Carbon County and a graduate of Carbon High School Class of 1955. She loved organizing every class reunion with her lifetime friends. Diane attended Carbon College and went on to Excelis Beauty School in Salt Lake City. She was involved in many civic organizations throughout the years and was proud to be a part of bringing Miss Carbon County back to Price.
Diane served faithfully in many church callings. She enjoyed singing in the church choir and was still an active choir member up until her passing. She embraced the role of homemaker wholeheartedly, taking pride in her home and making it a warm and welcoming environment for friends and family. She would light up the room with her personality, laughter, and smile. She was a beautiful lady inside and out, always showing compassion and kindness to all.
Diane taught her children and grandchildren many things. She was a great example and encouraged them to succeed in any endeavor. She loved to attend the grandchildren’s games and events. Her legacy of love, kindness, and compassion will be passed down from generation to generation.
