Stanley Ray Richardson died, unexpectedly, on January 31, 2025, at the age of 78, while caring for the cats he adored at a local cat rescue.

Stan was born on November 24, 1946 to Wilmer Henry Richardson and Nelda Vilate Peterson Richardson in Murray, Utah. He was the third of four children. He married the love of his life, Brenda, on May 3, 1975, and they moved to East Carbon where they raised their family. They were preparing to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.

Stan was artistically gifted with an eye for detail and precision. He spent hours in his woodshop creating amazing pieces of art for his family and friends. He was not only talented at woodworking, but he was also gifted in oil painting and drawing.  Stan was always up for an adventure. He loved riding his Harley, traveling with his family in his fifth wheel trailer (especially the grandkids), playing cards at the senior center, and spreading his vast knowledge of everything with anyone who would listen. He had a quick wit and hilarious sense of humor.  After retirement, Stan became somewhat of a cat whisper. He would spend his time taking care of the cats around East Carbon and volunteering at various cat rescues.

Stan is survived by his wife, Brenda Liddiard Richardson; his children, Melodie Richardson (Lance); Lamont Richardson (Carly); Kelly Richardson (Lori) and Misty Richardson; his grandchildren, Madeleine Richardson; Zander Richardson; Jace Richardson; Dakota Miller Richardson and Rowan Richardson; his siblings, Linda Fleischer (Gerhard); Ivan Richardson (Sharron) and Kim Richardson (Pat); and many nieces and nephews.

Stan touched many lives and will be missed terribly. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Emery Cat Rescue in honor of his memory.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, 12:00 noon, UMWA Union Hall in Sunnyside Utah.  Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price and Huntington where friends are welcome daily and may share memories of Stanley at www.mitchellfuneralhome.com
