Janice Stoughton passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, February 3rd, 2025 in Helper following a long struggle with cancer. She was born on December 23, 1957 in Marquette, PA.
Janice has been a long-term resident of Carbon County and had ties to the community through her faith as a Jehovah’s Witness. Janice made several friends over the course of her residency in Price and made an impact on the lives of the people that had the pleasure of working with her. You could always count on her to tell you exactly what was on her mind, and how glad she was to see you. She had many friends and will be missed by all that knew her.
Janice could be found at any community event where live music was playing and could be counted on to be flirting with the guys as they walked past her. She was an active participant at the Carbon County Senior Center. As time went on, and Janice’s health declined, she enjoyed the simple things in life – watching her favorite TV shows, listening to music, and being pampered by her staff. Janice loved to have her hair done and loved to have a fresh manicure.
A special thank you to Symbii, Rocky Mountain Home Health, Chrysalis, and all those who helped and supported her.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Lenora; and father, Floyd Stoughton.
