With a heart full of love and a spirit that could light up a room, Sally Thorngren left this world peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by the memories of a life well-lived. Just hours before, she had spent time with her dear friend, whom she cherished and spent time with daily.

Sally was a force to be reckoned with – a firecracker who lived life on her own terms. She was known for doing the craziest things, always up for an adventure, and never saying no to a good time. Her generosity, kindness, and unwavering support inspired countless people, and her legacy will continue to nurture generations to come.

Born on July 14, 1939, Sally lived a long, adventurous life filled with love, laughter, and a passion for living. She adored her family, and her love for them was only matched by their love for her. Sally was a proud wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, and her family was her greatest joy.

Sally’s infectious laughter, bold personality, and crazy-beautiful spirit made her a beloved friend to many. She had a heart of gold, always willing to lend a helping hand or offer a listening ear. Her generosity and kindness inspired us all to be better versions of ourselves.

Sally’s love for baking, especially her famous bread and cinnamon rolls, brought joy to countless people. Her adventurous spirit took her on many journeys, and her stories of travel, love, and life will be cherished forever.

Sally is survived by her children, Becky (McCarthy), Bobby, Leslie (Jensen) Troy, Edward (Tallerico) Elizabeth, and Brenna (Felix), Kerri (Fine), James Hicks; 18 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Brent Thorngren; her parents, Della and Jack Eden; and children, John Moosman, Jim Fine, and Stephanie Tallerico.

Our family is deeply grateful for the love, care, and community Sally received during her time at Elmo Senior Living. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the entire staff, especially Jimmy Chiado, for his extraordinary friendship and care.

An intimate family gathering will take place in the spring, outdoors, respecting Sally’s wishes. We will come together to celebrate her life, share stories, and honor her memory.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you honor Sally’s memory by spreading love, kindness, and joy to those around you.

Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, Sally Thorngren, may your love, light, and legacy never fade.

Rest in peace, our dear Mom.

Arrangements are entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price and Huntington where friends and family are welcome to share memories of Sally online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
