Carbon High School has 12 senior student-athletes who have been recognized for their excellence in the classroom during the 2024-2025 winter season with a selection to the Academic All-State team in their respective sport by the Utah High School Activities Association and the Deseret News.

Individuals are selected for the award based on their athletic ability and academic proficiency. The Academic All-State award is decided by either meeting an index score (view here) or having a 4.0 unweighted grade point average.

In competitive cheer, McKinlie Sharp and GiAnna Demille were named, as were Landrie Anderson and Lanie Anderson for the drill team, and Mason Engar received the honor in swimming. A trio of Carbon wrestlers were named. It was Gavin Fausett for the boys, and two Lady Dinos Adison Mills-Bishop and Brittan McCourt made the list.

A trio of Lady Dinos cut basketball, Bailey Curtis, Jacie Jensen, and Sage Vea earned nods.in boy’s basketball Rydge Butler was the lone Dino to make the list.
