Emery High School has nine senior student-athletes who have been recognized for their excellence in the classroom during the 2024-2025 winter season with a selection to the Academic All-State team in their respective sport by the Utah High School Activities Association and the Deseret News.

Individuals are selected for the award based on their athletic ability and academic proficiency. The Academic All-State award is decided by either meeting an index score (view here) or having a 4.0 unweighted grade point average.

In competitive cheer, Kaitlyn Thomas earned honors. Three Spartan wrestlers were named to the list: Boden Christman and Devon Byars were named for the boys, and Dazi Thatcher was given honors for the Lady Spartans.

Kali Jensen and Katelyn Nielson received nods in girls’ basketball, Jace Frandsen and Porter Hurdsman made the list, and Allison Johansen received the honors for swimming.
