Concha Pacheco Montoya, age 90, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and longtime friend of Price, Utah passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2025 in Southern California. She was surrounded by her dedicated daughter Stephanie, and her loving family.

She was born May 13, 1934, in Los Cruces, New Mexico to Julian and Patsy Sanchez Pacheco. Married Toribio (Toby) Montoya on July 12, 1954 in Lumberton, New Mexico; and later moved to Sunnyside, Utah where she resided for the next 30 years.  Toby preceded her in death on October 29, 1997.

Concha was a devoted mother to her 8 children, Toby Joe, David Lee, Stephanie, Ronald, Cynthia (Rick Marlowe), preceded in death by Michael, Theresa, Frankie.

Concha always worked hard, holding down multiple jobs at a time. She was a bilingual teacher, a teacher’s aide, a nurse aide and managed a convenience store in Price for over 15 years. She was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church and her faith remained strong until God called her home. She will most be remembered for her love of music and dancing.  She will be deeply missed.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be Thursday, February 20, 2025, 10:00 a.m., Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church.  Vigil service, Wednesday evening 7:00 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home.  Family will receive friends at Mitchell Funeral Home Wednesday evening one hour prior to service and at the church Thursday one hour prior to the Mass.  Committal service, Price City Cemetery.  Arrangements under the trusted care of Mitchell Funeral Home of Price and Huntington where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Concha online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net
