Gina Marie Cowdell Dyches, age 61, was freed from this world on February 27, 2025, following a 16-year battle due to a stroke. Gina was born on October 19, 1963, to her loving parents, Donald and Rena Cowdell.
Gina was a fighter, strong and independent. She loved camping, fishing and anything outdoors. She also loved spending time with her girls and family. It’s safe to say that Zaxton was her favorite, she would light up when he was around.
Gina’s dad was her hero, she was always so proud to show off his artistic creations. Gina and her mom were best friends, on the phone together daily, even while watching the Jazz games, so they could cheer for the team together.
Gina was such a tease and always had people laughing.
Gina is survived by her two daughters, Aubrey (Morgan) Johnson; Jennica (Eric) Austin; grandson Zaxton Austin; brother Rod (Lisa) Cowdell and sister, Barbara Clark.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Rena Cowdell, and oldest sister, Lyn.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Pinnacle Nursing and Rehabilitation for the endless amount of love provided to our mom over the years.
Mom, we love you more than all of the stars in the sky, even the ones you can’t see.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Gina at a later date.
Arrangements are entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price and Huntington where friends are welcome to share memories of Gina online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
