
Alice Ann Henman Olsen, 83, affectionately known as “Miss Alice” passed away March 5, 2025 in Price, Utah.
Alice was the seventh of twelve children born to Elzie Wilber and Anna Vera Mortensen Henman in Blackfoot, Idaho on January 27, 1942.
Alice was raised and educated in Dubois, Idaho and graduated from high school in 1960. She later moved to Price where she met and married her best friend, Rolland Eugene “Sonny” Olsen on June 9, 1961 in Price, Utah and they were blessed with four wonderful sons. Together they enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing while the boys grew up. Sonny preceded her in death on July 15, 2000.
Miss Alice loved children and in 1979 she began teaching pre-school at Notre Dame Regional School in Price. It was there, that she learned how much she valued children and eventually opened Miss Alice’s Pre-School where she taught pre-school in the area for a total of 39 years. Miss Alice retired in 2014, but her legacy will remain in the hearts of her students for generations. Alice will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her son, Don Olsen, Price; brother and sister, Butch (LaDonna) Henman and Linda Toler, both of Idaho; many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Sonny; sons, Rick, Shawn and Joe Olsen; sisters, Ruth, JoAnn, Delores, Joyce and Mary Lou; brothers, Robert, John, Don and Lester; grandson, Cody Olsen and great-grandson, Kaden Olsen.
Graveside service, Monday, March 10, 2025, 11:00 a.m., at the Price City Cemetery. The family welcomes friends to join them at Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price Monday morning from 9:00-10:30 a.m. prior to graveside.
