
The Price tennis courts were busy on Wednesday, as the Manti Templars were in town for the Dinos’ home opener. Coming off a 5-0 loss on the road at South Sevier, the Dinos’ home court advantage paid off, as they earned a 4-2 win.
Carbon gathered wins in all singles matches with Nicholas Bryner getting a straight set victory over Manti’s Coby Rasmussen 6-3, 6-2. Memphis Howell earned a straight set win over Kannon Christiansen 6-1, 6-3, and Zander Carrillo defeated Evan Lambourne 6-2 and 6-0.
The Dinos suffered tough losses in battles in the doubles matches. Josiah Trostle and Judson Varner fell to Stanley Crouch and Kinston Sorenson 7-5 and 6-1, and Sylvian Gurule and Oliver Steele lost their first set in a tie breaker, 7-6 (7-2), and the second set, 6-1, to Jarom Smith and Micah Butler.
The Dinos will host the Carbon Invitational this Friday and Saturday.
